SC Comicon 2016 is this weekend!  I will be at table 233!  I’ll have comics, prints, buttons, and sketch commissions!  Come by the table and say hi!

I ink all of my artwork traditionally. If you’d like the original drawing and/or a color print sent to you, please let me know. Shipping and the price of ordering the print will be charged.  I accept payment through PayPal or through SquareUp.

Penultimately, my mini-comic Over the River is complete!  Well, there’s a bit of a cliffhanger, but that’s it for right now.  Go check it out!

Lastly, Ruby Red is still coming along.  I am in the process of inking right now.  I’m doing something new for these pages–I drew the pencils in blue lead, so I can skip over the erasing stage and save my wrist some trouble.  My favorite stage of comic-making changes every time I change stages, but I really do enjoy inking.  There is something completely satisfying about seeing the final form of the comic take shape.

My mini-comic Over the River is still going on over at tumblr.  Two more pages!  It updates on Wednesdays.

Over the River

I’ve got a new comic!  Titled Over the River, it’s a short one (8 pages), all about love. I’m posting a new page every Wednesday–you can read it so far here.

I also have new prints in my store! The newest prints are finished #inktober16 drawings, including one of Naoko.  Go take a look!

I am in the penciling process for the next pages of Ruby Red.  I post random progress pictures to my Instagram, for those who enjoy that sort of thing.  And cats.  So many cat pictures.

Happy holidays!  Still alive over here.  I’ve been working on an 8-page mini-comic for the past couple months, but I’m starting on the thumbnails for the next set of pages for Ruby Red.  Granted, it’ll still be a while before the next installment sees the light of day, but just know that I have not forsaken my webcomic.

If you’re missing Naoko and/or my art, I drew a fun picture of Naoko for #inktober, along with some other fun drawings that you can see on my Instagram.  If that’s not enough for you, you can buy prints of my art and copies of Ruby Red over at my SquareUp store (each of which would make a wonderful gift, by the way).  If still you are not satisfied, then get over it or invent a time machine (and share the time machine with me).

I’ve got a surprise one-day convention this weekend!  Mochi-Day in Liberty, SC!  Admission is just $5, so really, how can you go wrong?  I’ll have the usual prints, books, and buttons, and I will be doing commissions.  I will be sharing a table with fellow artist Alicia!  See you there!

Today’s comic is technically a rearranged version of the cover to issue #7.  I’m going to work on the planning stages of Chapter Two (book two?  whatever) for a while so that once I start updating, I can get through the whole chapter without another hiatus.  The Woman in Red has been a wild ride since its start, but I’ve learned a lot so far.  I’m really excited for what strange new horrible frustrating challenges the next four chapters will bring.

If you’re reading this but for some reason haven’t read the comic yet, go!  Here’s the first page!

Keep up with me on facebook – deviantart – twitter – tumblr – instagram to see when the comic comes back, and other things I do. If none of those sound appealing, shoot me an email here and I’ll add you to a list to be notified when Ruby Red updates again.  Also check out my portfolio website!
